Windshield Repair in Leander, TX: Rock Chips & Cracks
Fast, honest rock chip and crack repair, usually done in under 30 minutes.

Most rock chips smaller than a quarter, and cracks under a few inches that haven’t reached the edge of the glass, can be repaired instead of replaced. It’s faster, and it’s almost always the right call when it’s an option.
How Windshield Chip Repair Works
We clean the damaged area, then use a resin injection tool to fill the chip from the inside out, working directly over the impact point so the resin flows through the full depth of the damage. A UV light cures the resin in place. For trickier, multi-point damage, we may need to inject from more than one angle to fill it completely. The whole repair typically takes 20 to 30 minutes.
Why Acting Fast Matters
A chip that looks minor today doesn’t stay that way. Texas heat cycles, the difference between a hot afternoon and a cool morning, put constant stress on glass that already has a weak point. A chip you could have repaired in 30 minutes can spread into a crack that requires full replacement within days, sometimes overnight during a heat wave.
Repair or Replace? Here’s How We Decide
Size
Chips smaller than a quarter are usually repairable.
Location
Damage directly in the driver’s line of sight often calls for replacement even if it’s small, since a repaired area is never perfectly optically clear.
Spread
If the crack has already started spreading or reached the edge, repair usually isn’t a safe long-term fix.
